Continuing our partnership with Belfast International Airport, OHM Engineering was commissioned to undertake a series of interior enhancements in the busy Arrivals Area. With a focus on durability, passenger safety, and premium finish quality, our team successfully delivered the following scope of work:

Supply & Installation of Bumper and Foot Rails Throughout

We installed a comprehensive system of stainless steel bumper and foot rails across the Arrivals Area. Designed to protect walls and fittings from the constant movement of luggage trolleys and foot traffic, these additions improve safety while preserving the interior finish of this high-traffic space.

Supply & Installation of Stainless Steel Skirting and Corner Protection

To further reinforce interior surfaces, we supplied and fitted custom stainless steel skirting and corner protection throughout the area. These durable, hygienic, and low-maintenance finishes were chosen for their clean look and resilience, helping maintain a sleek, modern appearance despite daily wear and tear.

Stainless Steel Handrail Installation Along 50m Ramp

OHM Engineering fabricated and installed a continuous stainless steel handrail on both sides of the 50-metre ramp in the Arrivals Area. Engineered to meet accessibility standards and enhance passenger safety, the handrails provide essential support while blending seamlessly into the airport’s design aesthetic.

Construction of New Reception Desk and Currency Exchange Booth

We also supplied and fitted a custom-built reception desk and fully enclosed the new Currency Exchange Booth with high-grade glass and surrounds. This installation balanced security, visibility, and functionality—ensuring that staff are protected while offering passengers a professional and welcoming service point.
